Running an operation like this isn't easy and it does cost a little money. Believe us when we tell you that we tried to conjure the money up using some elbow grease and old-school magic. The results were more than a little unexpected. Long-story short: we kept finding ferrets in the teapots for weeks afterwards. We won't be trying *that* again.
But in the interests of transparency, here are the costs of putting a service like this together:
Postcards: $30
Graphic artwork: $100 +/-
Mail Sorting Elves: 12 pairs of socks (unmatched)
This is an approximate budget since we don't really know how this project is going to work out (this is the v1.0 of this service). We are budgeting on 100 letters being received and replied to. The costs might rise slightly if the response is higher. We'll have to see what happens.
